Extension task The hunger games
In the film the female is presented as very strong and powerful it reinforces the stereotype that women are beginning to be shown as strong and independent i the media, Mise-en-scene helps to produce the representation by the appearance of the female in the movie poster and through out the film, she is dressed in very dark colours and walks with a bow and arrow with her showing she is very strong and prepared to fight and compete against othes, in the poster she is has flames behind her which once again shows jus how powerful and strong she is. the film hunger games catching fire (poster shown above) was released in 2013, the film reflects women actions from this time as in the media they are beginning to be shown as much more strong independent and powerful which is reenforced in the film as the female is certainly very independent and strong.
